White... no wait, yellow?

Did you know that statistically, Memorial Day weekend is the cheapest time to buy appliances the entire year?  We had heard that and have taken advantage of that timing to buy various appliances through the year.

Our 1978 home didn't quite have vintage appliances but we guessed they were from the early 90's at latest.  They were supposed to be white, but over time have faded to a yellow.  The microwave made funny noises and the dishwasher sounded like a semi truck.

So, over Memorial Day weekend we took the opportunity to swap them out with new models.  We were even fortunate to sell the old one's on Craigslist.  Not for much, but hey, they are gone!

Before picture... the appliances actually look pretty good here, but trust me they are dingy yellow!

Love the dishwasher!  Super sleek and QUIET!

Now just some granite countertops to finish the kitchen.  Probably not happening any time soon, but we can all dream, right?  :)
