Road Trip to Texas

So many people thought we were nuts for driving our family of 4 + dog for 1,500 miles across the country.  Maybe we are nuts, but we were excited for the adventure.  We took our time and enjoyed beautiful route across Virginia and Tennessee.

At each stop, we had booked large 1 or 2 bedroom suites so we could relax after the kids went to bed (which is a best practice for us going forward!).  The first day was our longest, traveling from Chantilly, VA to Nashville.  I had always wanted to visit Nashville so it was a great place to hang out for a few hours.  The next morning, we bummed around town, drinking coffee, eating donuts and playing at parks.  The kids had a great time burning some energy before getting back on the road.

The next stop was Little Rock, AR.  It was a fairly short drive from Nashville, so we had some great pool time before dinner.

Our last day took us to our new home in The Woodlands!  We were so surprised to see our Allied moving truck sitting in front of the house waiting for us!  How lucky was that?!?!
We were off!  When we left VA, it was in the low 50's and quite chilly!
Kids decompressing in Nashville.

Playing at "Dragon Park" in Nashville.
Getting some pool time in Little Rock.
Hayden looking too cool to smile.
Donuts for breakfast in the car!

Arriving in The Woodlands to this sight!  It definitely was not 50 degrees and chilly.  :)
