After visiting the TODAY show, we went across the street to Rockefeller Plaza and took the elevator to the "Top of the Rock" (67 floors up!).
We had unobstructed views of the city and was a great way to start the day.

One of Bryce's co-workers lived in NYC for a while and gave us some insiders recommendations for food. He recommended a local pizza-dive where you get 2 pieces of pizza and soda for $2.75. I was skeptical, but it ended being amazing pizza. They gave us straws with our cans of soda... we noticed all the other patrons were drinking from straws as well. We weren't sure if that was a "thing" or they did it for sanitary purposes. Ha. We also noticed all the locals were folding their pizza in half, so we did as well (trying not to be too obvious that we were tourists).
I grew up listening to Country music and still do today. A few months ago when we were deciding on a weekend to take our trip, we checked the concert schedule for Madison Square Garden and saw Luke Bryan was performing on the 12th. That made our decision easy!
The concert sold out in 5 min, so we had to pay-up for our tickets on Stubhub but it was well worth it. Cole Swindell and Lee Brice opened and were also fantastic. We knew nearly all their songs (especially Lee Brice) and sang along. Luke Bryan performed for nearly 2 hours and we had a blast dancing and singing along to every song (okay, maybe that was just me). :)

| Our beers came with straws. Seriously, are straws a thing in NYC?? |

| There were 2 ladies in front of us that were hilarious. They insisted on us wearing their cowboy hats and taking our picture. Too funny. :) |
