The Jakub's are off to Key Largo in October!  Yay!  We have been wanting to get away and tried last year, but with so many unexpected trips to Nebraska it just didn't work out.

Deciding on this trip wasn't easy.  The criteria was:

1. Fun for us and fun for Isaac (so not ONLY kids stuff)
2. Accommodations are a suite/condo so we don't have to sit in the dark after Isaac goes to bed
3. Still feel comfortable with the health care if something went wrong
4. Not too hot, but warm enough for swimming

We debated several locations

• Somewhere in Europe - Worried about #2 and #3 
• Disney - Kids have to be 36" tall to ride even the small rides.  :(  Isaac will be close but we don't want to take a chance so maybe next year.
• Turks and Caicos (again!) - Worried about #3
• Bermuda - #4 a problem in October AND after some research I don't think there are rental cars on the island.  So that is big problem with a child in a carseat.
• Driving vacation along the East Coast - Really want to do this, but for this trip we really wanted to get away!
• NYC since it's only 3-4 hours away! - Not doing this with Isaac.  This will be a fun trip that Bryce and I can do on our own.

Finally after weeks of debating and talking with friends with young kids, we are headed to the Florida Keys!

We found a beach front hotel with a 1 BR suite.  Even got a convertible rental car for fun.  A direct flight from DCA sealed the deal.

Yay!  Can't wait!
