Feelin' Icky...

I didn't get a positive until yesterday, but I feel like I've "known" for about a week from the following symptoms:
  • Slight nausea (all the time) that has been increasing in severity, daily
  • Chills, all the time
  • Wild blood sugars
  • Weird pains in my abdomen

I bought that book, "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and all are supposedly fairly normal. I've always been very in-tune with my body "signs". I think this is from being diabetic and having to pay close attention to how you feel to identify low & high blood sugar. It seemed kind of weird that I was feeling all this stuff so early, but maybe it's normal considering the experiences I've had as a diabetic.

Of course we are a looooong way from being out of the woods. I continue to thank God for this blessing and hope that the blessing will hold on. If it doesn't "work out" at least we know conception is possible.

Based on what the book says, I should be about 4 weeks or say. Here's the description of the "poppy seed":

This week marks the beginning of the embryonic period. From now until 10 weeks, all of your baby's organs will begin to develop and some will even begin to function. As a result, this is the time when she'll be most vulnerable to anything that might interfere with her development.

Right now your baby is an embryo the size of a poppy seed, consisting of two layers: the epiblast and the hypoblast, from which all of her organs and body parts will develop.

Loving This. I call that book, "What To Expect When You're Crazy"... b/c most of the time you either consult it b/c you panic, or you read something and it makes you panic... but it's still a good resource either way!
