NYC Getaway - Times Square and Wine Bar

Our hotel was only about 3 blocks from the center of Times Square.  We (finally) walked to Times Square on Sunday.  Neither of us really enjoyed that area.  It was busy, dirty and reminded us of Las Vegas.  We pretty much walked through to see it, took a picture and left.

It was time for dinner at this point.  We walked back to 9th street and hunted down a Wine Bar that we found on Zagat (called Riposo 46).  We got there at the perfect time.  It was a beautiful evening and the (very) small wine bar had accordion floor-to-ceiling windows pulled all the way open so it was open to the sidewalk.  A 2-person table right at the threshold to the open air freed up right when we got there.  We enjoyed some (more) great wine, arugula salads and mushroom flatbread with truffle oil.  I'm pretty sure my pants will be tight when I go back to work, but it was totally worth it!
