We are trying to visit as many places in New England as possible before we move next summer. We heard of a theme park for little kids named Sesame Place that was about 30 min North of Philadelphia. We found an open weekend and booked our trip to visit!
We hit the road early Saturday and made the ~3 hour trek to Langhorne, PA. We played all day Saturday, stayed in a local hotel by the theme park then played about 3 hours on Sunday before heading home.
On Saturday, the park was really busy (probably too busy). The lines were really long for the all the rides (both water park and theme park areas) and the park personnel were not focused on efficiency, to put it kindly. We tried to take it slow and do whatever Isaac wanted to do. Both kids were troopers.
On Sunday, it was much better. We concluded that all the locals must visit on Saturday because the crowd was significantly lighter. We went on every non-water ride we wanted with minimal wait time. We concluded the trip by having "Lunch with Elmo", which we both felt was the highlight of the trip! Isaac had a ball dancing and singing with all the Sesame Street characters!
I don't think we will go back before we move (other fun places to visit on our list!), but it was a great weekend mini-vacay!
Here are some pictures from our trip. I don't have any pics from Day 1 at the park since we mostly did the water park rides and played in the pools, so we kept our phones in the locker.

| And we're off... |
| Hanging out in the hotel after a long day. Our room was a 1 BR and had a small (but full) kitchen. We brought food with us in a cooler to cook dinner which was so nice after a long day of eating mostly junkfood. |
| Having breakfast at the hotel. Hayden was suffering from serious bedhead. :) |
| Look who spent part of the trip with us!!! Texas friends hanging out with us in Pennsylvania! :) |
| Hayden was too small/young to do most things, but they did have a nice play areas for the itty bitties. |
| Isaac had his pic taken with all the characters during our "Lunch with Elmo" |
| Grover was his favorite! |
| I loved this picture so much, we had to buy it. Hayden was not a fan of the characters. Ha! |
