Leaves, Leaves, Everywhere!

Our house sits on almost 1/2 an acre and has 20-something trees nearly twice as tall as our house!  They are beautiful and provide lots of shade in the summer.

In the fall, however, our backyard turns into a big mess!  Last year we raked 38 tall paper lawn bags full of leaves and pine needles!  This year we started earlier and are able to rake 5-6 bags each week to maintain instead of a marathon weekend of 38.

Last weekend we had a fun time raking with the kids.  It was chilly but we all bundled up and had a fun time playing and working.

Here is a picture from last year after most of the leaves fell off.  Yikes!
