Child Proofing

When we first had Isaac I was determined that we wouldn't *need* to babyproof.  I thought... we'll be disciplined and teach him right and wrong.

[feel free to laugh out loud now]

I've determined that it is impossible.... repeat.... impossible to teach a 6-12 month to not try to stick their finger in an outlet.  We try and try and try to discipline him.  Most of the time he laughs at us and we aren't "ready" to do things like pinching (aka: inflicting pain) to teach right and wrong.  Many of my girlfriends pinch the shoulder/base of the neck area, but we just can't do it.

So, we've resorted to baby proofing.  We haven't given up on disciplining/teaching, but at least he can't hurt himself if we don't catch him in time.

And these cabinet locks (the magnet kind)

If you never had to baby proof your house... well good for you.  If you are like us and haven't mastered getting the discipline to stick, I'd recommend these products!
